 Location : - Southwest of Sri Lanka on the Equator.
Climate : - Warm year around, determined by monsoons (June/July and November) which are mild and not as defined as in neighbouring countries.
Geography : - Coral Reef Archipelago of 26 atolls formations, 1190 island, 200 island are inhabited and more than 100 are exclusively developed. Additionally there are 60 brand new island are on the construction stage and some of them will be operation in 2010.
Access & visa : - Male' and Gan International Airports are the 2 International Airports in the Maldives. Daily scheduled flights from India, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai, Qatar. Also charter flight from European Continent and Far Eastern Countries are operated to Male’ International Airport and Gan International Airport. All tourists enter Maldives on tourist visa which is free and stamped on arrival to Maldives. Tourists can stay in the Maldives for a maximum period of 90-days on a tourist visa.
